Time Warp

The locomotive ground to a lazy halt
spilling out tired passengers from its steely entrails
The wave of crowd left her lost and confused
like a rag doll caught amidst ferocious ocean waves

Senses dulled by addictive spirits
Red Sony Headphones blasting ‘Demons’ by ‘Imagine Dragons’
Her feet moved of their own accord
while her mind travelled back to yesterday, to those months gone by; without him – so hard and cold, with scarce a memory or a sliver of hope to behold

And then BOOM! – Time began its shitty slow down; every other person in the crowd had his sweet face
This weird hallucination made her laugh so hard, fresh tears again obstructed her gaze

An ocean of crowd so thick, it was hard to breathe
but her ragged breaths told a different story

Surrounded by faces, but never before had she felt
So. Damn. Lonely.

(They say it’s what you make
I say it’s up to fate
Its woven in my soul
I need to let you go…)

    • Truest of the true Sid..
Songs are such a powerful driving force; the amusing part being- very few, if none, can actually be able to understand the intensity of the emotions a certain song evokes in you or me..
Guess one-song-fits-all is something that’s yet to be invented. šŸ˜›
